MEET REBECCA

Rebecca grew up in a small town in Texas, where the charm of rural life shaped her appreciation for craftsmanship and the beauty of handmade things. From a young age, she had a natural talent for design, often creating things with her hands that captured the essence of her surroundings. After high school, she pursued her passion for fashion, earning a degree in Fashion Design from Baylor University, where she honed her skills and deepened her love for the world of textiles and design.

After graduation, Rebecca moved to Dallas, where she launched her custom apparel design company. Her business quickly evolved, and by tapping into the vibrant Southern fashion scene, she developed four distinct labels that began selling throughout the region. Dallas, a hub for apparel production in the South, became the perfect backdrop for her creative endeavors as she built a reputation for thoughtful, well-crafted designs.

While Rebecca’s professional career flourished, her personal life blossomed as well. She married, Richard Ellis, and they raised three daughters in Dallas, where family became a central part of her life. During this time, Rebecca took a step back from the fashion world to focus on motherhood, but her creative drive never wavered. In 1997, she shifted her focus to developing a giftware line that featured her signature wrapped wire crosses, hand-crafted jewelry, and beautiful gift cards, finding new ways to combine her love for design with her admiration for artisanal work.

As time passed, Rebecca’s passion for teaching grew, and in 2017, she returned to her alma mater, Baylor University, to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation of aspiring fashion designers. As a professor, she brought her expertise in apparel design into the classroom, mentoring students and helping them find their own creative voices.

In 2024, Rebecca is excited to announce her latest passion project: restoring vintage quilts and toppers into garments. This project combines her love for textiles, history, and the art of craftsmanship, breathing new life into old fabrics with a modern sensibility. Whether it's the delicate intricacy of a handmade quilt or the beauty of wrapped wire crosses and jewelry, Rebecca has an eye for recognizing time-consuming beauty in every piece she creates.

Her love language is anything handmade, and her deep appreciation for the artistry of others informs everything she does. With a keen eye for detail and a heart that thrives on creativity, Rebecca continues to bring her unique vision to life, blending her Southern roots with her commitment to preserving and honoring the beauty of craftsmanship.
